English as a Second Language Ministry

More than half a million immigrants come to this country every year. Many do not speak English and have difficulty understanding our culture. The ESL program provides us an opportunity to minister to their English language acquisition needs and opens doors to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Students

Are you interested in improving your English language skills? Would you like to communicate with your neighbors, get a better job, or meet new people? We can assist.

• Beginner’s Class (Enrollment in September and January)
• Intermediate Level (Enrollment in September and January)
• Conversational English (Enrollment in September and January)

Where: New Life Evangelical Free Church
When: Monday Evenings -- Registration September 20, 6:30 PM  Classes begin September 28, 6:30 PM
Time: 6:30PM - 8:30PM in Rooms 215, 216A and 216B
Registration Fee: $20

Volunteers

ESL is the foreign mission that comes to you. You do not need to speak another language to teach English. If you enjoy working with people, are patient and have a sense of humor, you can be a tutor. Training is available.

ESL is not just about teaching English it’s about reaching out, meeting needs, building relationships and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Volunteers are also needed to provide refreshments, plan social activities, provide childcare and to be prayer warriors.
